OT: Another Cheeto Story

So -- yesterday, I dug out the roll of Christmas rick-rack that I use when affixing my yearly needlework pieces to the SMDGD's tree skirt

-- I'll be sewing them on when we get to Lizard Land next week. With the roll of trim there is a template for the size the things needs to be

-- the whole fabric, not the design. My needlework pieces are cut too small so I will need to add a bit of felt to them. I put the two pieces of needlework (cut about 4" square), the template and the roll of trim in a smallish plastic bag and set it on the stairs about half way up -- I do this all the time with anything that needs to go upstairs. Then it was off for the day to my Needlework Group Holiday Potluck. I got home about 2:30 PM to pick up some stuff and then was heading out again. I found the bag & it's contents strewn all over the kitchen floor. Thankfully, I had a good, big straight pin in the trim so it hadn't been unwound from the cardboard spool. I figured that *SOMEBODY* (I won't mention any little boy cat names) had had his fill of playing with *that* toy so I put everything back in the bag and -- IIRC -- again set it on the stairs. Now, I might have taken it all the way upstairs and put it in the sewing room but, since I didn't need to go upstairs for anything else, I don't think I did that. Anyway, I returned home again about 5:00 PM and was going to work on the needlework pieces but guess what???? NO BAG on the stairs! I searched all over the house and couldn't find the bag anywhere. It wasn't in the sewing room or any other room I checked. I looked under tables and chairs, I looked inside *SOMEBODY'S* houses (both upstairs and down) and the bag was nowhere to be found. When DH got home an hour later, I had him look everywhere, too -- even under our bed but he couldn't find the bag! Now Cheeto is a true thief. He likes to drag the old doggie "raggy bone" (one of those dog toys made of strips of fiber that are twisted into cord and then the cords are twisted together and tied in knots at the ends and then the ends hang loose threads) UP THE STAIRS and hide it in his house. Now this is the medium sized bone and it's almost as big as he is and I know it weighs about as much! We watched him drag the bone around the computer room and he looks like a lion with a dead gazelle schlepped between his legs under his body!!!! What a sight that is -- LOLOL! So I told DH that tonight he was going to need to get down on the floor and look under all the big, heavy furniture like the sofas & recliners, etc. because I needed to take those needlework pieces to Lizard Land next week. I get up this AM, get cleaned and dressed and sit down here at the 'puter to wake up before heading out to exercise. Care to guess what is laying right here in plain sight on the computer table??? YOU GOT IT -- the bag with the two needlework pieces, roll of trim and paper template. But NOW it has lots and lot of ventilation holes that are suspiciously the size of boy kitty teeth! I wonder how THAT happened??!? I phoned DH and asked him if he had found the bag and set it on the desk but he said he hadn't seen it! The Needlework pieces are dirty -- wonder how that happened -- so I will need to wash them again before I add any fabric to them. VBS -- now I need to hide the bag while I am gone to exercise or it's liable to end up someplace that "isn't Kansas anymore, Toto" -- LOLOL! CiaoMeow >^;;^<
