DD and DH informed me that "The Master Swordsman", currently on cable, (foreign, subtitled) had the main character (male turned female) killing the good guys with needlepoint needles flying from hands with threads attached as she sat on the veranda. Think ninja stars throwing technical. It was on last night. I promise (right hand raised here) not to look to see if it is going to be on again. Bobbie V.

THANK YOU, Bruce! I spent all of last week helping to put a library system to bed (we're all hoping it doesn't die in its sleep) and yesterday was my first day of being officially unemployed. The first cartoon about the needlepointed resume was just what I needed. I printed it to take to our "ex-library staff book exchange" on Thursday and to my EGA meeting on Saturday.

Everything happens for a reason and my "tennis elbow" (lateral epicondylitis) is telling me that maybe my next job shouldn't include daily shelving of books, even if the libraries do open soon, but it's still very hard to close a library and the funny was perfect. The elbow has even caused me to (temporarily) but it doesn't bother me while I crochet, so I'm working on an afghan for the local K-8 school to sell at their anual auction to raise money for next year's art and after school programming.

LOL - you should see my actual resume. Having had the couple of years of just doing volunteer stuff, hockey stuff, then working in the LNS & having the business doing design and event planning - it's gotten some interest eyebrow raising. Those are chronilogically towards the top (though not too large) and then suddenly the "serious" engineering R&D jobs (especially the one I left which reads like a "big job" ) . It's kind of funny.

My resume is in sections - related work experience and then volunteer work and I don't volunteer that I sub teach...

And I still have it hanging on my monitor! :)
