OT: Groups that Help Vets

Thru my new job I've learned about a couple really cool organizations that help soldiers who have been hurt while fighting. Even a total pacifist like me can get behind their cause.

Salute America's Heroes and Help Hospitalized Veterans both work to make the lives of U.S. soldiers hurt in battle better.

The first provides financial assistance to the wounded, helping them pay bills while they are recovering and getting back onto their feet again. Families face a lot of financial hardships while their loved ones recover, sometimes risking losing their homes. SAH helps keep this tragedy from happening to these families.

HHV provides craft kits to the wounded in hospitals, giving them something to do while recovering.

Just thought I'd pass on the info, as I know there are some here who would be willing to help these organizations out.

Both seem to be extremely worthwhile organizations. Dianne

LOL! I`d never have had you down as a pacifist, Caryn!!! Excellent cause, though. Of course, being a Brit, I initially assumed, from the subject line, that you were referring to veterinarians!

I believe in confrontation, only with words not guns! lol

I'm sure there are worthwhile groups that help veterinarians as well! ;-)
