OT: Grrrrrrrrr

Spent two solid weeks attempting to transform the store into some VP's idea of what it should look like, versus what actually works for both customers and employees. After several visits from District Mgr and his boss inspecting the place, finding little problems (one was that we didn't have the steering wheel accesories piled in a pyramid), causing all three employees to stress out trying to "fix" things.

After all that, guess what?

The @$#&* VP didn't bother coming to our store!

She and her entourage apparently did a 3 hr lunch instead and then had to hit the road to beat the rush hour!

ARGH!

Why is this not a surprise??? It's probably because someone told her that your store was SO shipshape that she would be wasting her time looking for something to 8!+@# about as management always does...

ROFL!!! Yeah, wish that was so.

Our store has lousy numbers, is in a dying mall in a low income neighborhood.

I think she decided we weren't worth her time, rather than thinking we were doing so well she didn't need to inspect. She did manage to hit the stores in upscale malls tho!

But at least now we can go back to just dealing with the actual store running stuff, and not worry about if our displays are exactly the right number of inches across!

BTW, no word about what happens when the Asst Mgr leaves on Nov 4 yet! Either we get assigned a new asst mgr, or I get that job, or they try to make me do the work without giving me more money....at which point they may be down to just one employee!
