Thank you and thank you
Later, I'll take a picture of my present from my mother - it is a garden ornament of a bird, that will light up when the solar batter is charged fully. It is clearly all recycled bits, including a green wine bottle.
DD called it my Earth Day Birth Day present....

Best wishes from me, to.

(aaah-aaah-aaah-AAAHHH- aahh- aaaahhh-aaahhhh)
(There, now I'm warmed up.)
Happy Birthday to yoooooo Happy Birthday to yoooooo, Happy BIRTH-day, dear Cheryl, Happy Birthday to YOOOOOO!!!!
(and many more!)
latkes and blintzes -- what, no cake?
(And did you know that with a Baltimore accent, "Cheryl" is pronounced "Shirl"? I had a friend who always talked about her sister "Shirl", which I assumed was short for Shirley. It wasn't until five years later that I learned her sister's name was Cheryl!)

Sorry I'm chiming in so late! Been a busy day here. Thanks for subbing for me, Susan! Nice to know someone will pick up the slack for me. :) I'll chime in with the 2nd verse:
How old are you? How ooold aaaare yoouuu? You loooook like a lilyyyyyy and you smell like one, tooooooooo! (an Easter one, that is! Mmmmmm!!!!)
How's that for a bit of a change-up? :):):)
I had a similar experience in Boston (I was probably about 10 or 12 at the time). We were visiting some people whose son had a girlfriend they kept calling "Mather". After we left their place, I remember asking Mom, "What kind of name is Mather?" She laughed and said her name was Martha!!!
Anyway, Happy Happy Day, Cheryl! I hope you're treated extra-extra special tonight!
Joan
Nice - but my own favorite daylilies have a nice scent if you look for it!
My DH will tease me that "Your Aunnt Mahge Clahk" called....

I love it when our neighbours say "Banger, Maine" or "Baaah Haber"
Hope you had a nice day yesterday Cheryl.
