Okay, Lucille (and anyone else who wants it), here's the recipe:
HOMEMADE KAHLUA
4 Cups white sugar 4 Cups water Bring to a boil and boil five minutes. Pull off heat. Add 3/4 cup instant coffee crystals. Stir very well until dissolved. Cool.Add 2 Tbsp. of pure vanilla and 750 ml of 80% Vodka. Stir to blend. Put in mason jars and set in cool dark place for 2-3 weeks. Makes about 9 pint jars.
