Hee! Heeheeheehee! DS and I are still weeping at each other. You must go here immediately and scroll down till you see the label 'Language Fail'. Play the video and read the subtitles carefully. Listen to the tune. Sing along quietly. Make sure you have tissues handy.

rest of the site is pretty good too!

Terrific! It's still pouring and rainy and stormy and windy and generally yucky here and I need something to smile about.

Awwww! Sorry it's awful weather over your way, Lucille! Here's another small smile for you.

The other night, DH ponderously announced that he would make his Special Homemade Pizzas for tea. Now, these are quite nice, but DH takes

*forever* to grate cheese, slice meats and veggies and assemble the Precious Pizzas. We all sat round the kitchen table to watch the lengthy procedure and listen to each other's tummies grumbling.

The first thing DH did was to take the pre-shredded mozzarella out of the freezer and put it in the microwave to defrost. (We always keep our shredded cheese in the freezer because it goes mouldy so quickly). While the cheese was defrosting, DH got absorbed in the Olympix on TV.

Guess what?

When the cheese came out of the microwave, it was a solid sheet of amalgamated shreds and it was *hot* and bubbling! DH got all cranky because the rest of us were howling with laughter at his little faux pas. Angrily, he tore the mozzarella into three pieces and said 'Well, don't just sit there laughing like idiots. Shred it up again and sprinkle it on the pizzas!' We all did our best to tear our respective sheets of shredded cheese up and 'sprinkle' but it didn't really work... the pizzas were downright rubbery!

My experience with overcooked mozzarella is that it works wonderfully as tire patch material. lol

Saw a good one this week - well, it had John and I screaming. A veterinarian was conducted a phone-in surgery and said "If your cat has a swollen paw ......"

What came up on the subtitles was "If your cat has a swollen ball....."

Pat

I think the joke is that the subtitles are accurate: they reflect exactly what the lady is singing. She actually believes she is evoking the tragic love affair of poor Ken Lee! Heeheehee!

100 points to the first person to post the original singer of "Ken Lee"

Cheryl

But Harry Nilsson's version made it "famous" - it's the one we remember before Ms Carey remade it.

Oy, but what am I to do with my 100 points?

Oy, the shame. Magic Mood Jeep is right.

Elizabeth

Yeah, I reckon it was Harry Nilsson too.

You're a decade or so too late

2 decades, actually. Song was written in 1971, Air Supply did it in 1991, Marian Carey in 1994.

Elizabeth

More than that - the album was released in 1970

Ooops, you're right.

Elizabeth
