OT: NCAA tournament

I can't believe that 3-pointer by Northwestern State with about 2.5 seconds to go that beat Iowa! Ouch! Now watching Northern Iowa vs. Georgetown...

Darn good thing we didn't get to see that game on the east coast. You'd have been able to hear me swearing all the way to Des Moines! I'm rapidly running out of teams to root for.

A large portion of both games was on the air in most markets. All the early games are available for free from NCAA's March Madness on Demand website

You can also watch archived footage of any games you missed. All the teams I follow are out now.

It was exciting, though. I'm a Big Ten girl living in the Land of the Big Twelve. My team, Illinois, made it while the "local" team, Kansas, didn't. I'll admit to enjoying watching the Kansas game. After all the Jayhawks were so incensed about Roy Williams being "stolen" by North Carolina three years ago, they saw nothing wrong with "stealing" the Illinois coach. Now that he's steered them to two first-round upsets, I'm finding it amusing.

Illinois won't win. I've been a fan for far too long to delude myself into believing they won't choke. I'll certainly enjoy watching them try, though, and then celebrating with my Ohio State coworker when her team goes farther.
