OT,OT: soda can tabs

I have a bag of soda can tabs that need a home (my church doesn't collect them anymore - and my aunt doesn't know if the lady at her church collects them either!).

Anyone know of anyplace that collects them? Anyone have a church or organization in their area that can use them????

please let me know!

thanks! Lisa

I know that they are collected for the Ronald McDonald house; maybe there is one in your area. Also the New England Good Sam club collect them; I gather at their big annual rally, they have literally truckfuls, which are recycled and go to the Shriners Hospital. I save all mine for an RVer in massachusetts, who turns them in at the big rally.

Hope this might help.

Yes, I believe that's what is done, recycling not any redemption for money. The Ronald McDonald House in my area collects them, too.

We just recently bought a really cool necklace made from recycled soda can tabs. DD volunteers at Ten Thousand Villages, a craft store that sells fairly-traded goods by Third-World artisans, and it was one of their products. It was surprisingly heavy, too!

Ronald McDonald House definitely takes in the tabs. We have a little cardboard house in our office for our tabs - we go through 2-3 cases a day between the 20 of us.
