I did that!! I embossed it with polysparkle embossing powder and it looked great...I'll have to share the card I made with those, it came out cute!! Thanks for reminding me of this trick. Arleen

What a neat idea! I never would have thought of it! We save our pop topsfor a little friend's school. They are doing something with them...raising money somehow. I always have little baggies of them so I will have to give it a try. I do like the look of the buckels. Tabitha has done some neat things with them !

That pop tab buckle is so cute! It makes me want to dig in to my ribbons...lol I wonder if you just paint it, if that will work? I don't have embossing supplies. Linda C

I bet if you wash it with luke warm soapy water and then lightly sand it with medium grade paper, it will paing just fine. After all it isn't so different from the altoid tins we all did.

LOL Well, DH is at the point, where whenever he's about to throw something away (except for junk mail, torn things, messy things, etc) he'll ask me "Can you use this for something?" I'm starting a little collection of things that I just might use in crafting someday....paper towel tubes, wooden knobs, scratched CDs, etc. Now I'll have to add pull tabs to the list.

I'm the same way Deb. I just recently put all the paper towel tubes in the recycle. When the kids were young there were various projects made at school with them. When the call came I'd outfit the whole class, so the teacher didn't have to wait a month for them to straggle in. I also just got rid of 2 bags of baby food jars. They were about 13 years old. I've used a few over the years. It was time for them to stop taking up space. Now I still have a big bag of the plastic that holds sodas together. The

6th grade use to recycle them. I'm so use to saving them.

My Grandma would have a cow if I used the tabs for my scrapbooking. She saves ALL the pull tabs off of soda cans and gives them to the Ronald McDonald House where she volunteers. I guess they give the charity money for them. She will even dig through my garbage to see if I forgot to pull any off.

Heehee!! Guess what I did while I was off nursing the pained gallbladder!??? I went and pulled the tabs off the soda cans (hey I had to get to them before it was recycle day!). After careful washing, those suckers are quick and tend to want to go down the garbage disposal. (don't ask how I know that!) I then proceeded, after they were dry of course, to emboss them. They turned out really cute! Who would've thunk it?! I am currently thinking of using them on a card...Thanks for the idea! One I am sure I will use many times.

LOL Deb,that reminds me of my years of being a Den mother, bownie leader, sunday school teacher when my kids were all small! I had huge plastic bags full of "garbage" . Milk cartons, empty 2 liter soda bottles....you name it...friends and family would bring me 'stuff' and say I thought of you when I found these......aww how touching to be thought of when people recycle their garbage..LOL
