I'm in southern NH - blame the folks in the mountains. A bird list acquaintance up that way has has shovel-able amounts already.

Speaking of snow, I was just cataloging a book on how to make igloos and other snow shelters. I found this interesting quote: "Nature has no mercy at all. Nature says, 'I'm going to snow. If you have on a bikini and no snowshoes, that's tough. I am going to snow anyway." Maya Angelou

Another by Lady Bird Johnson: "When I no longer thrill to the first snow of the season, I'll know I'm growing old."

Joan, in *beautiful* ND where it's currently 54 with a weekend of similar temperatures coming up! :) I think I might mow the lawn tomorrow!

Joan, can you say I have zero interest in building an igloo ???

I'm old lol

It finished around lunchtime and is fast disappearing, we are to have warm weather again. Locally they always say "If you don't like the weather, wait a moment and it will change" - thankfully.

May you pull a thousand muscles as you mow rotflmao

Gee, thanks for the "good" wishes, Sheena! As it was, I did have a good cardio workout, since I didn't start mowing until about 5 and wanted to get as much done before it got dark at 6!
