Are cardboard pizza boxes with little smidgens of stuff on them recyclable?
Should the glossy ads inserted into newspapers go with the newspapers or should they be put in the mixed paper bin?

Those questions are better answered by your local waste management people. Ours accepts all paper together (mags, newspaper, cardboard, office paper), plastic, glass and metal in a separate bin, but they prefer not to have pizza boxes - however, they want all stuff 'broken down' so when we do so, it's all crammed together - how are they gonna know if there's a pizza box in there or not??? They don't sort it at the curb - they toss it all into a truck and sort it at the recycle center.
