OT: Request for "Good Stuff"

Hi Guys, My DNiece Lisa is preggers again for the third time. She miscarried the first two times within the first trimester but this time things look much better. She's been to the Dr. 3 times now and each time the fetal heartbeat has been strong so we hope this one stays! She's right at 12 or 13 weeks now but there are some congenital and other health issues that are of concern. So, I am asking for any and all "good stuff" that anyone can send her way so that she can carry this baby to term and have it born healthy with all necessary accouterments -- like fingers, toes, ears, nose, external plumbing (if called for :-), etc. Thanks & CiaoMeow >^;;^<

More good thoughts your way - I remember the days when I was trying to get pregnant and not succeeding. . .

On their way, TM! Tell her 3rd time's the charm! :) Same thing happened with my niece. She is now well past the danger stage and is feeling really good. She's due in May, iirc.

Makes me think about my DM, who miscarried 5 times before I was born. We've had 2 friends that had to do significant time on bed rest - one for 6 months, the other for 3, to get their pregnancies to term. Our other good friend, who did in vitro, and conceived on the 2nd implantation, just had their 2nd child, same way, but conceived on the first try. She did have to go to bed rest for just a few weeks, fortunately.

Good thoughts still coming.

Agreed. It kind of made me smile, because you wouldn't believe how often the realated questions about ducts, glands, external, internal, etc show up on Anatomy & Phys or in my other relevant medical exams, and the stupid not-thinkiing folks who get it wrong. Granted, the excretory system, and especially kidneys and out is really a fascinating working system, and not easy to learn, but still - somehow ureters and urethras, what's "external" really confuses people, IME.
