Do you think you could admit that you really might like a nice warm, sunny, summers day ?

Sure, just not blistering hot with high humidity - I'll take winter any day over that stuff. Now go play bridge and leave me alone or I'll get out my ouiji board and fix you proper.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Snicker! But I like your idea of a stitching day. I've just finished making some chicken stock from the left over broth from the chicken I cooked last week, put away my good dishes from the dinner party we had yesterday, and once I've done little bit of tidying, I'm going to tackle my stitching cupboard. I set up the cupboard when we first moved in, and now that I've had some time to work with it, know I need to reorganize a bit. After that, hmm - well, I need to start a blackwork maple leaf for our Guild banner.

Enjoy! We are due to get 3 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, so I'll make sure that comes your way, too.

I thought it was very clever and VERY tongue in cheek.

It certainly never crossed my mind any of them meant any of it - what age group do you fit Bev ? Maybe it is humour that is age related or something.

Nah, she meant to yell at me for my definition of cruelwork and responded to the wrong post. No harm, no foul.

Plane ticket attached. We're having 68 and sunny today. But don't take too long about packing, because they are seeing more rain coming next week.

She lies, too!! LOL. Now here it was right chilly today! The temp when I got up was 39 degs (8 am), and I saw our neighbours out wwalking with their earmuffs, mittens, scarbes, boots, parkas etc!!

I put shorts on when I got up, and have worn them all day! It did hit the mid-70s!

Oh come on Gill. It was 46 here and although I didn't wear ear muffs, I did wear long pants.

It might have been clever, but it was definitely mean and I'm quite willing to own that. I was raised in a household where we were encourage to be clever and funny and nobody cared if it was mean. We were taught to laugh at ourselves, too.

I see that as a great gift. This year for Christmas my father bought diamond earrings for his daughters and daughters-in-law. A few days after Christmas, one of my brothers called me up chuckling. Seems he had finally scraped it together to get his wife diamond earrings for Christmas only do have Dad outdo him by getting her bigger earrings. I think it is wonderful that he could laugh at that and that he wanted to share the joke.

Tee hee, Channel 3 points out that our first 70-degree day, on average, comes on February 18. We had 68 yesterday and I know we got close to 70 today.

Tee hee, and you've got snow. Tee hee.

And, yes, The Great Karini knows that Sharon and Sheena are both saving this post for ready access in June, when I've got 108 and they've got 70.

Yeah, I did. They promised us 68, and some of the surrounding areas got there, but the official reading downtown was only 67.

Karen, can you send some sunshine my way, too? We're due to get another

10-15 cm of snow tonight.

A friend emailed me today from PA, and said she had daffodils starting to poke through!
