OT -- tea I don't like

I was given a "sampler" box of various teas in tea bags, most of which are rather nice. Two, however, are just plain nasty-tasting to me. I have tried them both hot and iced, and even would use 1 bag of the icky tea with bags of traditional tea to pull the flavor way back. All seemed really nasty. One flavor is a chocolate hazelnut, and the other is vanilla. Other than throw the bags out, is there something else I should use them for? (fertilizing flower beds, etc.) I don't do any tea-dye with fabrics.

You can just toss them in your compost heap. They don't sound very good to me either. The only way the vanilla might work is very sweet and iced with milk like Thai iced tea.

I've not tried the vanilla but I like the chocolate hazelnut. I enjoy it in the evening, hot with one packet of sugar (stevia). It gives me a chocolate fix when I'm not doing desserts.

I've had some vanilla type tea that's pretty good - but it was like a MateVana and mixed with Rooibos (red bush tea) - sweetish but tasty.

We buy a very nice vanilla rooibos from the local tea emporium here. I like it at bedtime sometimes, since it has no caffeine. If your teas are black teas, you could keep them for when you need warm tea bags for sore eyes. That's what I do with the flavours I don't care for. As long as they don't have a strong spice in them, like cinnamon, I find they work nicely.

I also like a cuppa rooibos at night, with just a touch of honey. It's lovely when I want something warm, but no caffeine and no dairy.

I've like the roobos teas I've had - nice flavor. I've never thought of using "icky flavored" teas on my eyes. Generally, if I don't like them after a few tries and my next door neighbor doesn't like them either, they hit the compost heap.

Could you use them as drawer-sachets? Blossom
