I'm stitching handfasting cloths for a niece's wedding. I've tea stained to antique cloths before with black tea, but I am curious if any of you have experience with fruit teas or green tea. Any pointers or preferences?
Well one of the handfasting cloths will have the Tree of Life on it, and I thought green tea would stain the linen in a nice greenish-gold hue. The other is a Celtic bird symbol I am dying (no pun intended) to try a blueberry tea on, because the birds are royal blue.
