OT: The Mosquito Dance

Thought y'all might enjoy this poem by my cousin's wife. She gave me permission to pass it on.

THE MOSQUITO DANCE

By Marilyn McDougall cJuly 14, 2005

Early in the morning When the sun was ready to rise I walked along my country road, Looking forward to this time.

The birds all sang in tandem Butterflies flit in the breeze Water flowed through the culverts... What a blessing to be free.

A rabbit hopped upon the road, Turned around and jogged away. The smell of summer was in the air It was a beautiful day.

Then out of the blue I decided to add Motions to my walking step Arms a-waving, slapping, pumping, Like doing exercises with pep.

Before long I really got into the swing With a hop, a skip, and a shout. And that, my friends, is the story of how The Mosquito Dance came about.

Sure! That's one of the reasons I asked her if I could post it. I told her it would be interesting to see if she ever gets it sent back to her! :)

I can see the sampler now! I do have some cross stitch charts that include small bugs!
