I was surprised too, but it's really good. It's Cranberry Honey so it's a little sweet and a little tangy.

My mother used to serve cocktail weiners in a chafing dish with red currant jam and mustard mixed as the sauce.

I think it is one of those - try it, it's not like what you are imagining

Sounds good. But then again, I like the kielbasa in grape jelly that some some one brings to a yearly party we attend. Basically put the jelly in the crock pot, once it is liquid, add the slice kielbasa. It works.

.Part of the problem is I just don't like mustard. Why ruin a perfectly good cranberry with mustard?

I agree to some extent. I hate mustard. But I'm finding that some sweet/mustard sauces are very good on certain meats. Your mileage may vary.

Do you like chutneys - I found a fantastic cranberry apple chutney. Love the stuff.

Mixing maple syrup with mustard makes a sauce that is really yummy on a pork roast. (According to the recipe, I add a little chopped rosemary and some black pepper as well.) I like it because something about the maple takes the edge off the mustard flavor and keeps it from overpowering everything else.
