Since we are mostly women......yes, the fellas may enjoy this too, I thought I'd bring a smile to start your day
Butterfly :
Hi, Folks. Here is a little story that I first heard about 30 years ago and have not heard from anyone else since.
On the subject of the making of roads and NOT understanding women:
A man was walking along the beach at Byron Bay one day when he happened to see an old bottle that had been washed up on the beach. Picking up the bottle, he began scraping seaweed and barnacles off the outside to find what might lay underneath. He soon discovered that there was still a cork in the neck of the bottle so he pulled it out. Imagine his surprise when there was a large puff of smoke and there appeared before him the biggest genie he had ever seen.
The genie stretched every which way and drew a few deep breaths, He then turned to the man who was standing there, absolutely flabbergasted, staring at this apparition before him. The genie said, "God, it's good to be out of that bottle. I've been in there for centuries. Thank you for letting me out. For letting me out, I'm empowered to grant you one wish, anything you like."
The man eventually recovered his composure, considered the genie's offer and asked, "Anything I like?" The genie replied, "Anything at all."
The man thought for a moment and then said, "Well, I've always wanted to go to America. Can you build a road so that I can just get in my car and drive from here to America?"
The genie looked thoughtful for a moment and then replied, "I think that might be a little difficult. There are all the bridges we'd have to build and all the gas stations and rest stops, all the motels and so on. There are all the different countries that we would have to get permission to go through and all of the diplomatic details. Can you think of something else a little easier?
The man thought for a moment, then his eyes lit up and he said, "I've always wanted to know why women are the way they are, why they say and do the things they do. Can you teach me about all that?"
The genie looked at him for a second and then asked, "Two lanes or four?"
