Melinda, When you say Bible , you mean also the New Testament ?? for me when I say Bible i relate only to the TANACH , what you call Old Testament.
Well at least you are aware that you relate to interpretations and not only to the Original text.
Why is it probably corect ?? life has changed so much? Do you still wash yourself in a stream , your clothes in the river? Do you walk or ride a donkey everywhere ? Do you Send the date with fire from mountain to mountain ???
Maybe you should learn Hebrew [ for the Old Testament] and Greek for the New testament ??? no I am not kidding ? Even your Old Testament is arranged differently than the Tanach ....Thus you yourself are already quite far away from What the People who wrote it meant . So if we have to sum your belief up , it is really about Your "right to choose which Interpretation of the Bible suits you ". mirjam
