Stash at Goodwill

Our newspaper ran an article today about Goodwill Ind. auction site

what? They have some stash on there! Not much, but there is some. The article also mentioned that old fur coats sell well because crafters buy them to make stuffed animals. All items up for sale are offered by the various Goodwill locations (not private sellers) and all proceeds go to Goodwill.

Good Morning,

I stop by at the local Goodwill store every now and again. It can be hit or miss, but I have come across some pretty nice frames over the years. Occasionally I will find a kit, yarns, or material for sewing.

I have also been lucky at rummage sales. One in particular that is held 2x a year benefitting the local Nursing Association, has yielded many cross stitch leaflets, patterns and magazines, along with kits of all kinds. My DD and I have a great time there. Diane

Goodwill and the likes are great sources of nice fabrics for crazy quilting. I've found clothing in some beautiful silks and velvet that I just cut up into CQ squares.
