Substitute for Sand Belfast Linen?

Hellman's all the way - for sandwiches, potato salads, pasta salads - love the stuff. I personally have never found a better tasting ketchup than Heinz's - they took the ribbon as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not surprised at your answer. After we like the same people, so why not condiments too

Ketchup - I really like the Trader Joe's one. Very fresh tasting.

There isn't any Trader Joe anywhere near where I live so I can't argue about the ketchup, but so far Heinz is the only good one I've ever had.

If you want 32 count evenweave, I would say Parchment or Bay Rum Jobelan. If 28 is okay, then you could try Beige or Natural Light Jobelan, too. If you prefer Lugana, perhaps mushroom, which is a sort of pinky beige. I use Wichelt's web site to get reasonable color images, if that's at all helpful:

If memory serves, that design could work with just about any tone from antique white to ivory to beige/tan/natural. All you want is decent contrast for all that lettering.

Have fun!

Actually, if memory serves correctly, Potato is the pinky-beige color in Lugana. Mushroom doesn't have pink overtones. :) Kim

Bone is the pinky beige. Potato looks like the inside of a baked spud. Darla Sacred cows make great hamburgers. Picture Trail Gallery:

Linen does give a wonderful look but if you want evenweave for a uniform stitch it ok

I have done both Belfast and evenweave. it all according want look I am going for. I love linen and work on it most of the time but if I got a real _itchy man/lady for a piece, and she/he wants that uniform look, I use evenweave. that usual because that person think the look of linen is toooo old for their home. so Nicole go for it , dye it yourself it you want.

I just use want i like for a piece or want ever the paying person wants. that can be a reallly strange thing. I love linen Edinbugh or Dublin or Glasgow or Newcastle but do want you like it is your piece. Sands is just a shade of Tan/Brown
