I won't bore y'all with yet another post with the tortuous details of my monks cloth afghan project. However, I will tell you that my den floor has been covered with piles of ebay wool from which I pick colors. The 'winners' are then arranged on the top of a cabinet and soon devolve into a tangled mess. I own a gazillion and three of holey organizers. After extracting a length, I rarely take the time to put the floss/wool neatly back into the holes.
A light bulb went off -- drape the lengths on something similar to a spool rack. Before the light bulb dimmed too much, I hopped on over to Joann's ... quickly rejected spool racks -- the draped strands would be too long to not get tangled ... a smaller bulb lit so I strolled over to the knitting section to look at the looms -- a long straight loom practically jumped into my hands.
Right now one side is almost covered with different shades of green. The back side isn't usable because it's sitting on my cabinet. If I or you can figure out how to attach this thing to a free standing something, we could split the profits once we patent the idea ;-)
