Back when Coca Cola came on the market, it was only sold at 'drug' stores, and it was touted as a 'remedy'. come to find out it had *cocaine* in it (this was at a time when laudanum (sp?;a liquid opiate) was widely accepted as a pain killer)!!!
Nowadays the way that the Cocoa plant is refined, we no longer have cocaine in our Coca Cola :D
I can tell you one point-- most sodas are sweetened with corn syrup -- and I'm allergic to corn.
Diet colas are sweetened with other things -- and I can partake. I rarely do, preferring sweet tea with lemon -- but there are times when you're out that the only drinks available are sodas, and it's nice to have an alternative to water.
I would never consider putting mayonaize on a sandwich ,, i like tomatoes and letuce etc,,,, Just had a Pita with the left over salad ,,, yummy mirjam
