Wanted: that octagonal crocheted afghan pattern

Sep 17, 2010 8 Replies

My aunt made one of these ages ago, but I liked it and 'twas a nice change from the grannie type. Thanks, if you can direct me to a site, book etc.

No Octagones but a wonderful collection of unusual afghans , you can find in Country Afghans , The Vanessa-Ann collection, Oxmoor house 1994 mirjam

I found several when I googled free pattern octagonal crochet afghan.

Alternatively, you could post your request on r.c.t.yarn, lots of keen crocheters over there.

Olwyn Mary in New Orleans

I never knew, or else forgot, that there was such a group. Thanks.

Alas Most of that group has been gobbled up by advertisements.

By the way , have you thought of making a Hexagon afghan ,,, much easier ,,

Octagons need little squares in between mirjam

If people use proper usenet readers with kill filters the ads rarely get through.

Oh, yeah - I think it WAS based on hexagons. Thanks.
