Best Cone 10 Glaze Recipes

Does anyone have any great cone 10 glaze recipes they would be willing to share? I always interested in finding new recipes and would love to have something new to try. We fire a soft cone 11 at around 2400 degrees Fahrenheit with heavy reduction in a downdraft gas kiln.

other then ash glazes that i mix on my own i buy commercial cone 10 glazes by the 50 pound bag & add water.

but my favorites are:

tenmoku & jensen blue & jensen red

poured or splashed onto the tenmoku. the iron based tenmoku as a base glaze seems to really make the rutile based jensen red & blue tke off and do wonderful things! they run like crazy so inside a bowl or on the shoulders of vases work best.

laguna seems to be the only supplier for a turquioz matt - a barium-bone ash combo that makes a great verdigris corroded copper result.

see ya

A great resource is John Brit's new book The Complete Guide to High-Fire Glazes : Glazing & Firing at Cone 10 (A Lark Ceramics Book) Information on the recipe, application, and firing profiles
