Shelves for woodfire

I have been looking at getting some new shelves for a woodfire kiln going to cone 10, 11, 12 with reduction. I will be using ITC coatings on the shelves. I have seen that high alumina shelves are not advised for woodfire, why? The Advancer shelves are very sensitive to any moisture and cost is high. Others are heavy and will need to be flipped between firings due to warping. So can I get some feedback from woodfirers as what they are using, how they are using and where they obtained the shelves they are using.

Wes in the great state of Wisconsin.
