If it's okay to ask (or if it's not) ... what the heck is a star quilt afghan? Quilt or crocheted creation? Polly

Ask away : ) It is crocheted. Follows the 6 pointed Star Quilt pattern: 3 diamonds are a solid color and 3 are multi-colored in a complimentary color. Each diamond is surrounded by 6 white ones. Instead of the diamonds being of cloth, they're of yarn (Red Heart brand for most of them). As I made other afghans, I made a star for this afghan...thus the long time. Then there were those years of NOT being able to crochet, knit, or sew...but I still kept collecting the yarn (2 skeins: one multi--one solid) as I kept hoping I might be able to finish ..........and I also knew that SIL knew how to crochet so if I never could, then someday she would finish it.

Butterfly (now to get the gal over to help lay out the blue/green knitted panels one)
