That's good to hear, Pat. Now I just have to decide what one other color I want to use -- and, of course, get a few more black/white prints. ;)

Fantastic Roberta! Just love the colour combinations and so true to our Pat's design. Can't wait until I start one -- have to choose which first --just getting a guild challenge out of the way. Hugs Bronnie

Thank you! I highly recommend Karen McTavish's 2 books -it helped me a lot to watch the DVDs. Roberta in D

I agree, Karen, but I suspect that most of the guild members will use red. I'd like to be a bit different.

I'll make up some of the 'Patricia' team, and absolutely agree with you; they are the colours I was going to suggest! . In message , Pati C. writes

Thanks, "Patricia team"! I've been leaning toward a turquoise shade, myself.

Hot pink looks good with black and white, it's not really red. Although just about any bright colour works well with B/W.

Your quilts are absolutely stunning! I am really drawn to circular quilt patterns, and yours are beautiful! Do you know if there is a software program available that will help draft circle patterns? I do it by hand, but I'm not as accurate as I'd like to be.

Well, THIS Patricia suggests a bright cobalt blue! Tangerine or Lemon are good too.

And you may remember how I feel about blue, Pat. ;)

I didn't read the beginning of this thread (didn't show p - like SO many lol) so I don't know if you are after contrast - but I like brown with B&W. Depends on the effect you are after, but BB&W can look very elegant (although I would probably use ivory rather than white).

You're right, Cheryl, and that's one color I hadn't thought of! Unfortunately, I can't use ivory instead of white, since we are required to use two specific b/w fabrics in this challenge. But I may think about brown -- there are so many shades that it could be quite beautiful. :) Thanks!

Are you beginning to see why I'm having a problem making up my mind? So many colors look wonderful with b/w! LOL!

Don't suppose you can use the specified fabrics and dip them in coffee for a short time - just to take the edge off?
