Homepage

I'm curious as to what everyone uses as their homepage.

Mine is a page my cousin created that has lots and lots of links to various thing that I use almost every day. I don't know how many people use it as their homepage, but it's a whole bunch.

Well, he doesn't have any quilting links, although he has offered to put up a box for me. I have to rely on my favorites for that.

I'm just curious what other people use.

I use igoogle.... which is a variation that includes a link to my local theatre, weather for my neck of the woods, cnn headlines and the like. It still has all the google search functions -- which I use all the time. But it sure is nice having those other local bits of info so readily handy!

I use Yahoo and have for a few years. I can personalize it the way I want it & with the added Google tool bar, I have just about everything I want right there.

I think I used to use Yahoo too. I'm in such a rural area though none of the news was local.

When you connect to the internet, what page do you see? You gotta start from somewhere.

My main news site: . I use firefox and have the sidebar with all my bookmarks. It also has a search box at the top which makes it easy to google from anywhere.

OK I just had a look (though I did think I could remember!)

I have a mostly blank screen, with my list of special favourites down the left hand side; and a highlighted place where I can type the address of where I want to go.

I don't know what a browser is; and I don't know what tabs are (well, in this context I don't). I know I'm a lost cause, don't worry! . In message , teleflora writes

Not always ... on my work computer, I have "none" set up to be my home page. When I open Mozilla (my preferred browser), it's a blank page with the cursor in the URL field, ready to be filled in!! That way, I save time (not having to wait for a page to load) and don't get distracted (a big problem for me!!).

But as I mentioned elsewhere, on my *personal* computer, I have EQ as my home page!! It helps me "get in the mood" for quiltin'!!

I set google as the search engine. Read through the news and comics. Any favorite places to go from there I throw in, well, the favorites. Love IE7 tabbing.
