A new machine

I tried to love her. Really I did. She was so cute, that littleBernina Activa 220 sitting there in all her electric peppiness andcomplexity. I had visions of using her for lots of new adventures inclothing construction. Then I changed, or rather I changed my focus.No longer was I enthralled by making different kinds of clothes. Andshe changed too. She developed "problems". We went to "counseling" ,or was it repairs. Nothing seemed to work. We grew distant and stayedapart from each other. She just didn't fit into my plans anymore. So,I set her free and gave her back to the dealer. He gave me anotherBernina 1008 mechanical . Here was a machine that was just like I grewup with. No fancy stitches. No gee whizz factors. Just the tried andtrue blue, straight ahead sewing capability that I was already usedto. Now I have 2 of them. I never thought I would sucumb to SewingPolygamy, but there it is. I am a man who sews and have come to acceptmy need for the tried and true., Just more of it. Now I will be ableto do the things that I want that involve using two different machineswith the attendant thread/feet differences, that would otherwiserequire my switching out those things during the middle of a session.Now it is just the three of us, me and my two Bernina 1008's. A"Menange a' Trois of sewing creativity. Every male sewers secretfantasy. There is even that other little Janome 1600p that I visit onthose "special ocasions", that the Berninas just can't satisfy. Ah,life is finally good again. Please do not think badly of me, for afterall I am just a man. But I am finally at peace with myself.John

You're saying "sleep in the sewing room" like it's a BAD thing! LOL!!

'Sides in a sewing room like THAT (with 20 machines!!) who would WANT to sleep??
