Just have to tell everyone about this. Last Wednesday our Guild (Seaside Piecemakers) had Mark Sherman give the program. What a great time!! He had all of us laughing all the way through his trunk show and story telling. Well worth the effort to have him for a program. In the afternoon he gave a class on machine quilting. He won 1st place at Paducah for his longarm quilting this year. Haven't talked to anyone who took the class, so can't report on it, BUT on Thursday he gave an all day class on dyeing which I did take.
I doubt if I will ever do that on my own, but completely enjoyed the class. There were 25 of us so he had his hands full and did a great job of teaching.
About 1/2 way through the class his cell phone rang. Grit teeth and answer! It s Paducah informing him he had also won viewers choice. He asked for a chair--took a few mintues to recover his sanity and sailed through the rest of the afternoon. He was extremely happy.
