An American quilter in Tokyo?

My quilting buddy, Susan, is going to Tokyo with the Navy Reserves for the month of November. (You *bet* I'm jealous! LOL) Anybody got any ideas and/or tips for her in the areas of must see and must do? Quilt shows, quilt shops, other neat-o cool stuff to see and do??? She's ready to explore, take public transportation and travel around the area.

TIA!

Amazingly enough, i have a friend staying with us who just came home from Japan. First, I need to ask what her rank is. There may be liberty restrictions depending on rank and duty station. Once I have that info, i might be able to get some stuff for you.

There is someone named "Heidi in Japan" on the TreadleOn list who is a quilter. You can join the TreadleOn list (under sewing machine groups) on the quiltropolis.com website -- then ask on the list.
