anyone read Billie Lauder

Has anyone used/read teh book by Billie Lauder something like "Quilt Tips and Tricks" I wnated to order it and wanted to know your opinions.

I can't help you Zo, but one thing I found useful was getting the books through my library and seeing if they were good enough to buy for myself.

I have it.

It is a thin book - say 25 pages or so...more pamphlet than book. It has very clear and well written instructions. It has her directions for making four and nine patch units with two square (something that's been on Simply Quilts if you've caught her episodes) She also has a couple of ways of making half square triangles and hour glass blocks and the flying geese method that uses squares only that you can get from

While I think it's nicely done there wasn't anything new in it for me. Good for a beginner or for someone who hasn't had the chance to watch lots of quilt shows and read quilty magazines for tips.
