I'm off to VA

Any LQS in Charlottesville, VA?? I will be getting there in the morning and not meeting DS2 until afternoon -- the fare difference was $90.00 and I don't mind spending a few hours at a LQS Like I don't have enough to "see me out" as my MIL used to say.

I'll be there on Aug 22.

Mim - I can check with DH....that is where he regularly has to go for work. Course, he may not be as well trained as other DHs, and therefore hasn't noticed.

Thanks, Larissa -- It's not a "real trip" without a little LQS >S>E>X> :-) :-) :-)

Mim: Look at the URL for Virginia Consortium of Quilters. I'm not a member but the site has lots of useful info. I need to check the map to be sure, but I think you won't be toooo far from the Virginia Quilt Museum. Here is the site:

There are fabulous shops there and near there. My favorite is in Madison, VA a small town right outside of Charlottesville. The shop is "Little Shop of Madison" They have great fabrics, are very friendly, and check the FQ stack in the back area- they sell some for a *deep* discount (think 25 FQ for $25 LQS quality). I know there is at least one (if not

2) LQS in Charlottesville itself. I'll look them up if you don't get the info from someone else before you go.
