Yes, I know I've been here for a while and shouldn't have to ask, but....well, here I am!
Yet another co-worker of hubby is in the first-time parent mode. His wife is due in June, and since we (some of the women in the office and myself) made a quilt for another co-worker, they have asked if I would want to help make one for this new addition. Ok...last time, we just went with basic colors and fabrics and NOBODY had straight seams or anything...lol.
I was thinking of cutting templates for everyone to use and raiding my HUGE stash (300+ yards if I count the clothing fabrics as well as the quilting fabrics!!) and letting them put the fabrics together however they want, but using the templates and such.
The question is, what do you all think would be a good pattern for: experienced sewist, beginner sewist, people who only barely know which end of a needle to thread???? I was toying with square in a square or pinwheel blocks....got any other ideas that I can work with??
Thanks everyone!
