I want to do a quilt for a brother who has lots of chili pepper decor (if you can call it that, bachelor that he is). Does anyone have suggestions for what pattern would do justice to a chili pepper print (bright)?
Thanks in advance.

I'll be watching this thread since I have several chili prints as well.
Gentleman's Fancy might work out nicely, or perhaps Eccentric Star. Both of those are pieced.
If you want to make something a little more fun and you like applique, you might think about appliqueing one large chili pepper on a plain background for each block. Make all the peppers out of the prints and stitch them onto background fabric of his favorite color or colors.

Quiltmaker magazine had a pattern with chilies in the Nov/Dec issue, the one with Mickie Swall's pretty cardinals on the cover. Here's the link
And me - something about staying in New Mexico with Sarah gave me the incentive to collect chili pepper fabrics - I have a large carrierbag full!

There is a traditional pattern called Navajo, which has a large center square that would focus on the fabric. Or check out Southwest Decoratives for ideas of patterns, many strip pieced, that look like Indian designs. I use chili pepper fabrics in all sorts of patterns.

It might be fun to do a stack-n-whack with a bright chili pepper print.
