Pillow Case Pattern??

Question

I have a pattern here for a pillowcase that I want to make. It's VERY simple but, it's only for a standard size pillow. Does anyone know the measurements for a King size pillow case? or does anyone have a pattern they can share. This pattern has a big main color, a little color strip then the bigger end cap part. They call them Focus print (main part) accent print (1.5 inch strip) and the Complimentary color (end cap at opening of case) I'd like to use the three colors. Thanks for any help!

Debi--My mom sent some king sized sheets from a very hoity-toity store.  Thepillow cases measure 19.5 in. X 37.5 in.  Unfortunately, I gave my sonour king-sized bed.... using a queen right now. From the links folks gave, the difference between standard and king sized is 10 inches in length (from side-to-side) so, you have to increase the width of the cut pieces for focus, contrast and possibly accent. Up to you to determine where to distribute it. I would put the bulk of the addition into the focus fabric - unless you are in love with the accent or the contrast ;-)  I have a pattern here for a pillowcase that I want to make. Yeah yeah thats it add an extra 10 inches in the focus fabric on the pattern we have add it in the middle focus fabric the one that is 19x 20 make it 29 x 20 that should make it work :) your loving sister and quiltin pal. One thing to note: if the pillow is thicker than normal, you need some extra girth in the case. My new pillows have a 'boxed' edge rather than the usual knife edge. It is a challenge to stuff them into the old cases! PATDLW wrote:

Yes, we did get that icy mess. I worked from home (connected to the office) a couple of days because of it. Happily it was not too bad -- we never lost power.

We are right next to the Brazos River, which has risen with all this precipitation. On Monday it was at 42 ft in Richmond. When it reaches

48 ft in Richmond, then we get widespread flooding in Simonton (we are a ways upstream from Richmond). It has dropped (~38 ft now), but they are expecting some possibly heavy rain today and tomorrow. We are praying that it does not rain too much.

They have already had flood> Howdy!
