begin quilting Re: Hi

Howdy!

Read a bunch of books about quilting & how-to-quilt.

Quilts, Quilts, Quilts is still one of the best:

Talk about quilting to family & friends; you'll find quilters. Then start asking them questions. Ask to see examples of "how do you...", we all like to show & share.

Good luck!

I'm actually wanting to learn more about it. When I mentioned that I > was new, I was meaning "REALLY" new. I am wanting to try to make a > quilt. Or do what I did. Read books, practice on reasonably nice fabric, and donate the less-than-perfect results to charities, who will not complain if your corners don't match exactly. Come to think of it, I'm still doing that, when I go to learn something new, I always make a practice type, to learn the finer "points" (pardon the pun) and then donate it some where. Project Linus, Newborns in Need, American Heros, some local shelter, doesn't matter where.

If you're close to me (or anyone here) we'd be happy to help, I'm sure.
