Block Butler

I bought this Block Butler at the quilt show in Nashville last month and tried to put it up today. The darn thing sticks for about two minutes then s-l-o-w-l-y peels right off the wall.

I don't want to hammer nails into my wall but this is so frustrating. GRRR!

Anybody have any experience? ideas? HELP?

Thanks Morag in Detroit

Is your house very dry? The block butler needs a bit of moisture. If you can make your room a little more humid, it would probably help. Also, I have heard that washing them (according to the directions) helps too.

I'm glad it worked out. I really like mine. The only real problem I've had is with some large blocks composed of many, many seams. It probably doesn't help that I am not the most merticulous presser, and so I have too many seams that have bumps in them. :-( These blocks I secure with some cheap pins. Just be aware that if you have to do that, the pins DO get gunky, so don't use your good flat heads, or whatever.
