Buying staples, win some, lose some

Some smart quilters here suggested buying ordinary needs on ebay. That hadn't crossed my little mind in a while but I did want some Printed Treasures sheets for a possible Christmas tote gift or something and my supply of 45mm Olfa blades was running low. My bid for the fabric printing sheets was lost; I'll try again. I did get the rotary blades for about $ 2.10 per blade. Not an earth-shattering accomplishment but it beats the heck out of paying $5 per blade plus AL sales tax of 10% . Thank you to those of you who aimed me. We old biddies need all the guidance we can get. Polly

Good for you. I use a sniper program....I know I know some people don't agree with them. But I do honestly bid sometime normally as well. Depends when the auction is ending. If I'm going to be in bed or not at home then I use the snipe program.

I think you get 5 free tries then I think it's 0.25 per auction. I've paid for it several times over the last few years with no issues. $5 goes many times into 0.25.

When we wander into Alabama to have Yogi's hair done is the only time I get to really see things I need and the prices. Last trip at lunch, I saw a

You might be tempted to try out this sample pack of printer sheets from the company which makes bubble jet set, etc. 6 sheets with free shipping in the US for less than $10 plus there is a 20% off coupon for first-time customers. The weekly discount offers that they send out are worth considering for future orders. jennellh

I use esnipe.com for my bidding...same price as the other site mentioned, about 25 cents for them to bid for you. It helps avoid a bidding war. Your bid goes in about 6 seconds before the auction ends. It's great for those auctions that end in the middle of the night or wee hours of the morning. You have to give them your eBay password but, I've never had a problem. They used to have a free trial period for new members but I"m not sure if they still do. I've found some amazing bargains using them. Donna
