can't find it!

Knode

I was trying Pan, but it is a spanky new upgrade and the documentation for it consists of three lines apologizing for the lack of documentation. It would not show me quoted material, no matter what I did. So I am test driving some new ones. I am not exactly happy with Knode or XPN. Their documentation is not much better than Pan's, though they are much more functional right out of the box as it were. Neither of them will let me throw away already read messages though. I am going to search thoroughly to try and figure out how to do that before trying something new. About all that is left to try in linux are some terminal style readers, or Thunderbird. Thunderbird is not likely since I am of the opinion that OE should have been banned as a WM(internet)D and T-Bird is basically designed for people who are fond of OE. I will happily look at PINE, TIN, or slrn if I can't sort this out, The terminal style is not what I look to first in this particular application, but it may be what I end up using for best functionality. There are some others, but they are parts of suites and I am not about to download a whole suite for a reader.

Thunderbird looks an awful lot like the old Netscape mail/news reader. Ithink it was around before OE. Maybe OE was designed to look like Netscape :)

What about Agent? Either Free Agent or Gold?

I could go back to Free Agent and run it under WINE, but I would really rather have a program that runs resident on my OS.

I am now using Linux, Ubuntu, The Karmic Koala. I can use a lot of programs that run resident under other operating systems, but for common utilities I would much prefer programs that are resident on the OS I am using.
