Scrap/Charm/Stash quilts can be fun if you take have time to play with the colors--you don't have to pick things at random if you don't want to. Here's one I made (not a true charm quilt, as there are some repeats and there is an off-white used throughout) that shows how you can play with the colors to make them shade from one area to the next. Organized, yet still very, very scrappy. I came up with this layout by starting with the yellow in the middle and working outwards. Since I don't have a design wall, I pinned everything to a sheet temporarily for place-holding once I got the layout I wanted, then sewed the rows.
