I'm a Quilt Show member and I often go to their chats when they have featured guests, but I rarely check in there otherwise. However if we had a set time that could be announced here a little ahead of time, I'd try to make it.

By the time we actually read a newsgroup message, the person who's waiting in a chat room is probably long gone. That's one of the problems. I think a time would have to be pre-arranged for a set time on a set day of the week for the Quilt Show chat room so that people would know when to show up. With all the different time zones we represent here, that could get really tricky! :) Usually when they have a featured guest chat (and some of those are BIG NAME QUILTERS!) they're at 8 or 9 Eastern time, so you wouldn't want a time that would conflict.
They welcome quilters and wouldn't be upset at any of us com>
