Chenille - Kathy in CA

Hi Kathy My computer crashes if I press reply so I have to always start a new post! For the process of making chenille....you need four layers of fabric. One feature fabric, plus three others (can be plains) but do use at least one quite bright or definite contrast fabric. After layering all four fabrics, you need to draw lines 1/2 inch apart all over the top fabric (corner to corner or 45 deg angle). Depending on how large a piece of chenille you are preparing, this design can be made in a diamond shape or for just fat quarter size, go all on the diagonal. Sew along all these lines. Then you cut between all the lines by placing your scissors or chenille rotary cutter in the channels BUT on top of the bottom layer. Do NOT slice your bottom layer!. This one holds everything together. Sew on the binding. Throw in w/machine with a pair of jeans for a good tumbling, then dry in dryer. You will love it, and so will all your friends, it starts a craze!!! Email me privately if you have any problems, Cheers from Tasmania Sally
