Chicken pin cushion

Many, many thanks, Val. I couldn't remember why dryer lint was a 'no-no' and was hoping you'd speak up. I used to put out snips of embroidery floss and crochet yarn but was warned that they were not good nesting material either. We're feeding visitor birds by the hundreds now; we'd reckon an early spring is coming to the north somewhere. The robins have already come, filled up on every fishing worm in reach and moved on. Golly, what a sight. We are hoping that our little hummingbirds wait a while yet. It is bitter here just now. Keeping the feeders loaded is a constant chore - and joy. Polly

The experiment continues. Lee's llama Perl has died, and she is sending the fleece for spinning. She is going to send e a handful for pincushion experimentation before it goes out. So we shall find out how it is.

NightMist sad for Lee as losing named livestock is tough

That's the pattern I used when I made mine.....it is a three sided, log cabin, paper-pieced chicken. I love it! And, it has so much character, especially with the chicken fabric and spot/dot fabric I used..........

Sure could. The darned thing would probably spit in my hair or something, but he might just let me. Or he might be amused and do it himself. Or any one of a dozen good or bad things. He might after all take a broom to my backside. Showing up to ask carrying a pot of homemade jam or green tomato mincemeat would likely smooth the way a great deal. (G)

NightMist Never yet met a man who would take a broom to a woman bearing mincemeat
