Looking for a fish pin cushion pattern.

Hi Everyone,

Yes, I still read every day but don't post much anymore. Life gets in the way (working, etc.).

I saw the cutest fish pin cushion on a blog that I read and asked the owner if she made it - nope - but she "bought it at a quilt show boutique".

Does anyone here have a pattern for one?

Thanks so much,

If you can point me to the blog, I can make you a pattern ... but I'd need to see the fishy first. :)

Hello,

The Blog Name is Quiltgranny's Shoe - I just checked and you can get to her blog with that name. You will see the fish pin cushion on her table.

Good Luck!

I didn't see a fish pin cushion there .... but if you can wait until tomorrow afternoon, I'll have a pattern posted.

I've got a pattern drafted already (that's what I've been doin') and I just need to fine tune it and digitize it (as a PDF) for postin'. It's a goldfish ... and has a small dart - and that's as complicated as it really gets.

Is that okay? Even if you're not interested anymore, I'll still post it just in case! :)

Hugs!! Connie :)

Howdy!

It's similar to the construction of this chicken:

Change the accessories for the fish. ;-)

Near the bottom of the page, this blogger tells how she changed the Norwegian chicken into a cat & a dog:

Good luck!

And Merry Christmas, Diane!

I wonder... wouldn't it be easier to sew three triangles together leaving an opening to turn it? I see it as a pyramid type thingy. Then stick a fishy type tail on it at the pointed end (maybe blunt the point a bit for the tail and maybe the head, too?) and a fin along the side that slopes towards the tail. hmmmm...... I can't stop now (making quilts with a Sunday deadline) and play with the idea but maybe someone else can pick it up from here???
