comparing black solids

Has anyone used the Michael Miller jet black? I'm looking at Kona black but I know Michael Miller does good stuff ... what's a girl to do?

Now that, dear Sunny, depends on what you're about. If you're putting tires on trains and trucks, I recommend 'confetti' which is black with lots of happy colors tossed in and says "this is not a serious occasion". If you are making black stripes on chenille busy bumble bees, Moda is the choice. Stained glass? a tighly woven that's soft enough to be cooperative. See? It depends. Polly

I like the Kona black. It also discharges colour nicely too!

I love the Michael Miller Jet Black - it's a very true black (not greenish or reddish) The fabric quality has also always been nice. While I do use Kona solids sometimes, I do find their fabric a bit thicker than most and sometimes that makes a difference.

I, too, have found Kona black rather too thick (especially for miniatures). It is a good black; but it is great to have heard of a finer alternative. . In message , Sandy writes
