computer hell

Yesterday was groundhog day for my computer. Ever time I posted something it said it would be posted "momentarily" and then I would get a "Server error" from Google. Thinking, that the server ate my post, I reposted, again getting the server error from Google; and on , and on. Finally, Jeanne from this group got a personal e-mail to me saying that the posts were, in fact coming through, and that everybody was getting them, multiple times. I was not able to get the current posts as displayed on the Google groups. I finally bailed and said. "Let this whole thing sort itself out tomorrow". And that, as they say, came to pass. Sorry for the multiple posts. I guess the advertisers probably will think that this is a "high volume" activity site, and go crazy with more adds. I am going to put quilting on hold and head for the basement for a few days and make a Shaker quilt rack for the foot of the bed, out of Cherry wood. I will post a pick when it is finished and in place. Winter weather is finally hitting Central Ohio later this weekend and nobody should be outside If they don't have to be.

Howdy!

Saw the multiple posts, and as usual, figured: He really means it!

We have the ice storm drifting down from Oklahoma, flash floods coming in from the west, and it's just plain messy outside. Good time to be inside, quilting, reading, eating, wood-working, eating, quilting....

Cheers! Ragmop/Sandy

That odd double and triple posting happens to all of us sooner or later. Just the nature of the Server beast. Don't let it bother you one bit.

Don't fret, John, it happens to most of us sooner or later. Computers just have strange ways of goofing us up!

Understand the computer woes. My DH just redid my computer system again yesterday for the 3rd or 4th time since it decied to crash on Friday. It is finially working properly again and I can start to get things back to the way I like them. Luckily I backed everthing up recently. I did lose some Christmas pictures that I apparently didn't back up for some reason, but DFIL has copies of most of them on his computer and I can get copies from my mother of hers to replace the others.
