Connecting Fabric

Have any of you bought the Connecting Threads fabric? It looks pretty, is less than $6 a yard and comes in great colors for blenders. But what does it feel like? I'm curious and may just spring for a yard or two to find out. I'd rather have somebody else tell me, though >BG

I've ordered thread and books from them but not fabric. Sorry I can't help.

Howdy!

It's okay; average or a little better quality, but the colors are rather muted; the brights aren't all that bright, the darker tones aren't esp. rich. I ordered a mixed variety to check it out; not impressed, won't order again. I'm disappointed w/ Connecting Threads; they only carry their own line now, they don't have much of a variety, it's all rather 1989 "country", and, really, $6 a yard for this isn't any great bargain. That's my opinion. YMMV

A friend of mine had ordered some and said it was nice quality stuff. I haven't seen it, so can say from personal experience, just hearsay.

I've recently gotten two kits from them--the Cosmos strippy one and an Indigo stars. The cosmos fabric is as sweet as any fabric I've ever fondled! The indigo seems like good fabric too, just not as soft as the cosmos.

Happy quilting,

I'm with Sandy. I ordered some of their fabric. The quality wasn't too bad, but I did not like the red and blue fabric that I ordered at all. It wasn't even what I would call a country color - just sorta faded looking and not pretty at all. Gave both of them to a friend who likes drab colors. The beigy piece I got was ok. I won't be ordering any more of their fabric either. You used to be able to get some good fabric at good prices from them before they went entirely to their own line.

I've ordered from them several times, I just got some today. I like it. I think it feels really nice. I haven't washed any of it so I don't know how it holds up. I've also liked the kits I've gotten from them.

The colors are kind of muted, but I _like_ that.
